Structure from image sets

The members of the ACVT have been working on recovering shape information from image sets for more than 15 years.  Originally stereo and optical flow were the focus, but more recently we have been working a wide range of projects from interactive 3D modelling from image sets to modelling plants from images taken within the Plant Accelerator.

Current projects in this area include

  • Videotrace
  • 3D modelling for Augmented Reality
  • Modelling plants for the ACPFG
  • 3D from photopoint images

what ever happened to Video Trace development? the Punchcard site has no information on availability.

We’re still working on VideoTrace, and will make another release very soon. The major development is that this release will allow models to be constructed from image sets rather than only video. This is intended to make the image capture process even easier.

In the mean time you can still get the current version at http://www.punchcard.com.au at no cost. The new version will be free also, at least in the short term.
